Sabrina Oden would probably have been of no interest to the public if it was not for her marriage to former NBA player Greg Oden. Sabrina Oden is Believed to be a Native of Ohio
Aside from the fact that Sabrina Oden’s maiden name is Williams, much about her early life and origins is not known to the public due to her very private lifestyle. It is not clear when and where she was born, but going by an Instagram post by her husband, she celebrates her birthday on the 3rd of May every year.
Due to the fact that her private Instagram handle is @ohiobeauty, Sabrina is most likely a native of the U.S. state of Ohio. Similar to other details of herself, much is not known about her parents and siblings (if any).
She is also a Philanthropist
In addition to the work she does as a nurse, Sabrina Oden is a philanthropist. She describes herself as one on her Instagram account that has over 10.5k followers as of February 2022. Sabrina does philanthropic work through the Ohio Holiday Hope charity organization that looks to feed 100 families during the holiday seasons.
Mrs. Oden Makes a Living as a Nurse
Greg Oden’s wife is a nurse. In 2017, when her husband decided to return to school after a well dpocument4d unsuccessful NBA career, she was working at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. During this time, she was also studying to become a nurse.
Sabrina and Greg were both students at the time studying to give themselves a better life. She particularly endeared herself to the public for being very supportive of her husband when almost everyone around had lost faith in him. ESPN famously documented that Sabrina penned a note for Greg that read “we are so proud of you” as he returned to Ohio State for his sophomore year, years after leaving the school to enter the NBA.
While we know that Sabrina has since launched her career as a nurse, it is not clear when she graduated. Greg, on the other hand, graduated in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Industry.
Sabrina and Greg Oden Have a Daughter Together
Before Greg Oden had made the move to return to classes at Ohio State in January 2017, he was the father of an infant child. He and Sabrina had a few months earlier in September 2016 become first-time parents – the reason why she used the word “we” in the note she wrote to him. The couple named their daughter Londyn but often call her Lolo.
They Got Married in September 2017
About a year after Sabrina and Greg Oden welcomed their child, they took the bold step of getting married. The couple took family and friends and headed to the Grand Wailea Maui, A Waldorf Astoria Resort in Hawaii, and exchanged marital vows. While there was not much fun fare surrounding the occasion, there were a few notable people present. Oden’s former Ohio State teammate, NBA player Mike Conley, was one of the groomsmen for the occasion.
While family and friends were ecstatic for the couple, a few media reports questioned Greg’s domestic issues from the past. In 2014, he was arrested and charged with battery for punching his ex-girlfriend in the face. The former athlete who was at the time getting to terms with the fact that his NBA career was coming to an end, showed remorse for his actions and so ended up avoiding jail time. Greg was put on probation and asked to pay a fine.
Sabrina did not care about all that as she had all the faith in the world in him and decided she wanted to spend the rest of her life with the father of her child. So far, all appears to be well in the union as Greg never holds back from showering her with praises.
