Ken Pickett is a native of Ocean Township, where he grew up and attended Ocean Township High School in 1988. After completing his high school education, Ken joined the Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, where he played on the school’s football team (Red Raider) as an All-American linebacker between 1989-1991. After playing actively for three seasons, he graduated with a school record of career tackles (455). Throughout his collegiate playing career at Shippensburg, he made the school’s history as the third player for career tackles and one of two players since 1970 to lead the Red Raiders in tackles for three consecutive seasons.

Kenny Pickett was Selected 20th Overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2022 NFL Draft
Kenny was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers with the 20th overall pick in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, making him the only quarterback selected in the first round. In September of the same year, he was named the backup quarterback for the Steelers behind starter Mitchell Trubisky.
Kenny made his first professional appearance in the second half of a week 4 loss against the New York Jets. For his first NFL game, he recorded 10 of 13 passes for 120 yards and rushed for two touchdowns but threw interceptions in the 24-20 loss.
