Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady Have Two Children – Meet Them

NFL quarterback Tom Brady and his supermodel ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, have two children together. They share a son named Benjamin Rein (born December 8, 2009) and a daughter named Vivian Lake (born December 5, 2012). Gisele is also a stepmother to Tom’s other child, a son named John “Jack” Edward Thomas (born August 22, 2007), whom he had with actress Bridget Moynahan.

While Tom Brady and his first son share similar football interests, his children with Gisele are less concerned about playing the sport. But this does not mean they do not support him. Here is more about them.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen got married in February 2009. They welcomed their first child, Benjamin Rein, in the same year on Dec. 8, 2009, in their Boston, Massachusetts, home. While reflecting on their son’s home birth, Brady confessed he was skeptical at first. However, he has since gotten on board and now recalls the day fondly.

In one of the episodes of his podcast, Brady said, “Me being there with G at his birth in our home, it lives in my mind. I think we brought this boy into the world in the most precious way.”

Like any typical parent, Brady outrightly assumed his two sons would share his interests. However, Benjamin isn’t a big fan of sports, which was hard for Tom Brady to understand at first. In an interview with Men’s Health, Brady shared his initial laments. “I was like, ‘C’mon, let’s do this.’ And he was like, ‘Nope.’ And I was like, ‘What? No, do this!’ “And Gisele kept saying to me, ‘Would you effing understand that your son is different?'”

He further added, “It was hard for me. I was like, ‘What do you mean? He’s a boy; he should do all these things that I do.” However, Brady has learned to embrace his son’s interests, explaining, “The reality is that Benny just likes different things. And it’s great because now I just have to go do what he wants to do. When we do that, we have the best time”.

Benjamin Rein will be 13 years old by the end of 2022. For his 12th birthday last year, his parents both shared Instagram posts to celebrate the milestone. Alongside a picture of her and Benjamin, Bündchen posted, “You are growing up way too fast! I am so proud of the kind and loving boy that you are and I feel so lucky to be your mamma. Love you sooooo much!” His dad also captioned a picture of Benjamin, “Happy Birthday Benny! “You are A M A Z I N G in every way. You have taught me so much, and I am so blessed to be your dad!

Vivian Lake was born in Boston on the 5th of December, 2012. She shares a passionate interest in some of her mother’s activities, like yoga and meditation. Despite being seemingly closer to her mother, Vivian is her father’s number 1 cheerleader, regardless of the team he plays for. Brady admitted that he became a softie after Vivi’s birth. He also confessed to not being able to turn down her requests, “Whatever she tells her dad to do, that’s what I do. That’s just the way it goes.”

During a discussion with ESPN, Brady said he’s happy to have a daughter as that would teach his sons how to understand at least a tiny bit of what makes a woman tick. During Vivian Lake’s 9th birthday last year, both Brady and Bündchen shared loving write-ups on social media. Bündchen posted a picture of herself on Instagram leaning nose-to-nose with her daughter and captioned, “Happy birthday, my little sunshine! How lucky I am to be your Mommy. You make every day brighter! I love you so much.”

Unfortunately, things have since changed for the kids as Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady finalized their divorce on Oct. 28, 2022, after 13 years of marriage. They, however, both agreed to joint custody of their children, Benjamin and Vivian. According to an insider, Gisele will continue to live in Miami, while Tom will live in Tampa.

Shortly after the divorce news broke, Brady made a promise regarding his future relationship with his children on his Instagram. He wrote, “we are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way.”
