Montana Helena Klein Yao is a former beauty queen, model, and social media personality who can boast of having more than a hundred thousand followers on Instagram. While Yao is certainly doing very well for herself, she would be the first to admit that it was her relationship and subsequent marriage to NBA player Malik Beasley that really put her name out there. The duo are very much happy together but have been in the news a few times over various issues that have prompted speculation about their future.

Through her father who was born in Hong Kong and moved to the United States in the 1960s in search of a better life, Montana Helena Klein Yao has origins in China. From her mothers’ side, she is of English, German, and Irish descent. All these have contributed to making the beautiful Yao look very exotic.
She Was Born and Raised In California
Montana Yao was born on August 5, 1997, in New Port Beach, California. She was raised by her parents who were very influential in her life. The young girl attended Maranatha High School before enrolling at Malibu High School where she graduated in 2015.

Yao Participated In Beauty Pageants Before Launching A Modeling Career
Following her graduation from high school, Yao aspired to become a model and so went into pageantry. She began by participating in the 2016 Miss Malibu Teen beauty contest which she won. In that same year, she took part in the Miss California USA contest where she managed a top 10 finish.
Aside from modeling, she reportedly has an interest in music and is pursuing a career as an actress. While she is yet to make any significant progress in that regard, there is no counting her out.
Montana Helena Klein Yao Became Involved With Malik Beasley In 2018
Malik Beasley is an NBA player who was drafted into the league in 2016. He was selected 19th overall by the Denver Nuggets after playing one year of college basketball at Florida State. The NBA player from Atlanta, Georgia was with the Nuggets for four years before he was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2020.
During Beasley’s time with the Nuggets in Denver, he began dating Montana Helena Klein Yao. While the love story between the pair is not clear, it is known that they met and started dating in 2018. The following year (2019), they became first-time parents as they were blessed with a son named Makai; he was born in March 2019. There are varying reports at this point about the pair’s marriage. While some say that Malik and Montana got married before giving birth to their son, others say it was after the child was born that they got married. Whatever the case was, it is generally believed that the duo entered into Holy Matrimony sometime between 2018 and 2020.
They Were Divorced For A Brief Period Of Time But Are Now Back Together
Less than two years after Montana got married to Malik, the union came to an abrupt end. The reason behind this was the NBA player’s infidelity. In late 2020, Malik’s pictures with Larsa Pippen – the ex-wife of retired NBA star Scott Pippen who is also about two decades older than him, appeared all over social media. The photos and subsequent story behind their coming together suggested that the two were in some type of relationship. This obviously broke Yao’s heart and so she opted to leave the union.
The social media personality revealed that she was blindsided by the whole thing. As a result, she filed for a divorce and moved on with her life. Subsequent reports about Malik’s love life said that he was officially in a relationship with Larsa. Unsurprisingly, the relationship did not last more than five months as Larsa and Malik both went their separate ways. It was after this that Beasley took to his Instagram to publicly apologize to his ex-wife and son. Malik acknowledged that he put them through a bad situation before adding that there was no one in the world like Montana.
To the surprise of everyone, Montana Helena Klein Yao accepted the apology. She would then go on to blast Larsa, describing her as desperate and old. A heated exchange between the pair ensued on social media, with the women saying all sorts of vile things that they later deleted. At the end of it all, Montana went back to her man and the two appear to have gotten remarried. We assume so seeing that Malik referred to Montana as his wife in a New Year on Instagram.
