Molly Ackerman is a Native of Colorado
Molly Ackerman and her husband may have made their home in Green Bay, Wisconsin, but she is originally from Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Crosby’s wife was born on the 6th of October, 1984, making her about 30 days younger than her husband who was born a month earlier on the 3rd of September.
Lillian Cheryl and Charles Dan Ackerman are today known as Molly’s parents and rightly so. The Ackerman’s raised Molly after they adopted her as a nine-month-old. Molly was given up for adoption by her biological mother who had her when she was very young. Speaking about it, Molly has said that she holds no grudges against her biological mother as she made the correct decision to give up a child she could not fend for.
The Ackerman’s would go ahead to raise Molly alongside a sister named Robyn Sarah Cuffman.
Ackerman Met Her Future Husband in College
Molly Ackerman attended Glenwood High where she graduated in 2004. She subsequently enrolled at the University of Colorado at Boulder where she studied Chinese Language and Civilization. As part of her course study, Molly had to spend a summer in China where she learned to read and write Mandarin.
Molly was not all focused on her studies at Colorado as she was part of her school’s cheerleading team. It was through this that she met and began dating Mason Crosby who played on the Colorado Buffaloes football team from 2003 to 2006. While Crosby did not play any of the flamboyant positions on the team (Quarterback, Runningback, etc), he was a very talented placekicker with extraordinary leg strength and an important member of the team. He would go on to become Colorado’s all-time leading scorer, with 308 career points, and holds 31 school records.
She Became Mrs. Molly Crosby in 2008
Things became official in the relationship between Molly Ackerman and Mason Crosby in 2008, a year after her husband was drafted into the NFL by the Green Bay Packers in 2007. The duo got married on the 28th of June, 2008.
Details about their wedding ceremony are not public knowledge but seeing that Mason is a devout Christian who often speaks about his faith, we predict that their nuptials happened in a church. Mason is very close to his family as is Molly so we are sure that both parties were in attendance when vows were exchanged.
Molly and Mason Crosby Have Three Kids
Molly Ackerman has gone to lengths to keep details of her marital life private. Regardless, we do know that she and Mason have welcomed three children.
The first child of the Crosbys is a son named Nolan James. He was born on August 15, 2010. After Nolan, the couple had a daughter named Charlotte who was born in May 2013. Their third and last child is another girl named Elizabeth. She was born in early 2015.
Molly Ackerman Does A Lot of Philanthropic Work
When Molly Ackerman is not taking care of the home front, tendering to her kids as her husband concentrates on his game during the season, or maintaining fitness for the gruesome NFL season during the offseason, she is doing a lot of philanthropic work.
Ackerman is fond of reading books and so is a spokesperson for the Give-A-Kid-A-Book Campaign. She and her husband are also supporters of Compassion International and their “Fill the Stadium” initiative.
