Gwendolyn Osborne was born on 7th August 1978, in Bath, Somerset, United Kingdom. She was born to a British father and a Jamaican mother. She was raised alongside her two older siblings whose identities remain unknown. Gwendolyn was previously married to former NBA player and current TNT basketball analyst, Kenny Smith. The couple met in 2004 during a charity event. Initially, they started as friends until the friendship developed into a full-blown romance.
After dating for almost two years, the couple eventually tied the knot at a mountain-top property in Stevenson Ranch, California on September 2, 2006. The wedding was witnessed by friends and relatives of the couple with music from the famous DJ Nice. Coming from different pasts, the couple brought in three children they had from their previous relationship.

But sadly after a marital relationship spanning almost 12 years, the relationship began to wither and the former model filed for divorce with Kenny in October 2018.
Although she did not state the reason for the divorce, some sources claim that Kenny cheated on Gwendolyn. Gwendolyn announced their divorce in the following words: “Kenny and I are parting ways very amicably. There is no one to blame here. We have amazing kids and will co-parent our children with all the love in the world.”
Additionally, the former model looked to garnish the basketball analyst’s paychecks from Turner Sports for spousal support and child support, asking for $28,898 and $16,562 per month, respectively. The court documents and order stated that Smith was to pay the money to the California State Disbursement Unit, which would then be paid to the former model and he was also ordered to pay a little over $1 million to Gwendolyn as a divorce settlement.

Over the years, Gwendolyn has gained a lot of professional experience by juggling different careers. She made her first official on-screen debut on Any Given Sunday(1999). Two years after her debut, she moved to Los Angeles with her young daughter to audition for roles in TV shows and films. Thereon, she appeared in small roles on TV shows across Los Angeles and she began to work with Los Angeles Models.
In 2002, she starred in the movie Snow Drugs and soon appeared in the two seasons of the TV series Ocean Avenue as Jade Dominguez. After her role in Ocean Ave, she made a cameo appearance on a 2003 episode of the primetime reality competition TV show Dog Eat Dog. In 2004, she was a member of Team Dream during Lingerie Bowl I.
