Sissi Tuchel Biography
Thomas Tuchel’s wife was born and raised in Germany. Her date of birth is reported to be in 1975 but the exact month and year are not known. This is not the same case with her husband who we know was born two years before her on the 29th o August 1973.
Sissi Tuchel received all of her education in her home country before launching a career as a journalist. She worked at the German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung before later quitting her job to become a housewife after marrying Tuchel.
Sissi and Thomas Tuchel Wedded in 2009
In 2009, the same year Thomas landed his first big job at Bundesliga club Mainz 05, he and Sissi exchanged marital vows to become man and wife. Details of how they met are not clear but it is widely reported that the soccer coach’s wife is not a big fan of the round leather game. Sissi is said to not be a fan of football but is able to watch and go to games because of how passionate her husband is about it.
Following their union and the fact that Thomas’ job required him to move to different cities whenever he was hired by a new team, Sissi quit her journalism career and became a stay-at-home mom. Along the way, the couple welcomed two daughters; Emma and Kim, so she kept herself preoccupied with raising them while her husband focused on his managerial career.

The Couple Agreed to Part Ways in 2022
After about 13 years of marriage, Thomas and Sissi Tuchel announced that they would be parting ways. They filed papers in March 2022, citing personal differences as a reason for them calling it quits. Speculations have since been flying around as to the reason why the pair are unable to make it work. While some wild claims have been made, like the fact that Thomas works for a team owned by a Russian Oligarch amidst the Ukraine war, nothing is known for sure.
Those close to the couple have said that they had tried to work things out but were unable to. They did not plan to divorce but since there was no other option, they now plan to keep the situation “amicable” and are not looking to have a circus divorce. It was further said that they would be making their daughters a top priority during the whole proceedings.
Thomas Tuchel’s Earnings and What Sissi is Likely to Get From the Divorce
It is well documented that Thomas Tuchel is one of the best-paid coaches in the world. The Chelsea FC manager is believed to take home over £7 million a year and is estimated to be worth around $20 million.
Because of his huge earnings, and the fact that Sissi has been out of a job for a long time in order to tend to their family, she is well on her way to receiving a multi-million-pound settlement. Sissi has been very supportive of her husband’s career, making huge sacrifices that have enabled him to excel and win trophies at almost all the clubs he has been at. Going by how such cases have been adjudged in the past, she could be receiving around $10 million, half of her husband’s fortune, when the divorce proceedings have been settled.
