Erling Haaland’s parents are Alf-Inge Haaland and Gry Marita Braut. His father is a former professional soccer player, while his mother was a heptathlete. The Haaland family breathes and lives by sport, so it is no surprise that Erling has gone on to become a soccer star of high regard.
Alf-Inge Rasdal Haaland was always positioned in the middle of the field as well as the back, as he played both in defense and midfield. Gry Marita Braut, on the other hand, competed in heptathlon and emerged as the Norwegian champion.

Alfie Haaland is a former Norwegian professional footballer. He was a notable midfielder with prominence in the Premier League with Nottingham Forest, Leeds United, and Manchester City.
He began his career in 1979 when he joined his hometown club, Bryne FK. He made his first-team debut at the age of 17 in 1989. In the following year, he signed his first professional contract with Bryne. He then moved to England, where he joined Nottingham Forest. His debut game was against Leicester City.
In 1997, Haaland joined Leeds United under George Graham. He made his debut against Arsenal on the 9th of August. However, in September, when Leeds was playing against Manchester United, Haaland injured Keane and underestimated the fatality of the injury. This would cause an age-long feud as Roy Keane would later injure Alfie Haaland – a premeditated and revengeful action.
In 2000, Alfie left Leeds to join Manchester City, a transfer that cost £2.5 million. In 2001, Manchester City played against Manchester United, and again Roy Keane and Alfie Haaland met on the field. Only this time, Keane deliberately injured Haaland on his right knee. It was an injury that would lead to the end of his career. He retired in July 2003.
Apart from these 3 clubs, Alfie also played for the Norwegian National Team. After his retirement, he relocated to his hometown, where he devoted his time to building his last child’s prowess in football and other sporting activities.

As a versatile kid, Haaland was not limited to the football field. Instead, he participated in different events just like his mother, Gry Marita Braut. He played golf, handball, athletics, and cross-country skiing. He continued his education at Bryne Fotballklubb from 2006-2017. That is from the age of 5 till 16, which is approximately 11 years.
After Bryne, Erling played for Molde before joining Red Bull Salzburg in 2018. He would later join Borussia Dortmund before signing for Manchester City in 2022.
